Although a little later than usual but finally the ramsons - or bear's-garlic as it's called in Hungary - emerged and made green the slopes of Mecsek Mountains. Attention! Ramsons - this very healthy wood vegetable - is only allowed to pick beyond the edges of Eastern-Mecsek Protected Area!
Emma Guesthouse is situated in the upper half of Puspokszentlaszlo, after the bell tower, and very close to the arboretum. The house has been named after its last owner, Ms. Emma Trecsek, who ran the very last small grocery shop of the village in the present living room.
Address: Puspokszentlaszlo 26. The house with a surface of appr. 65 m2, has been completely renewed inside and outside in the autumn 2009. There are two rooms, a hall-dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom with toilet in Emma Guesthouse. The best night relaxation is ensured by a big pull-out double bed and two nice old-style beds in the "living-room" and again a pull-out double-bed and a small bed in the bedroom. The house is perfectly equipped for the comfortable self-service of 4-5 persons. In addition a veranda with swing-bed and a nice grill-terrace serve the perfect comfort. Emma Guesthouse is an original 18th century farmhouse renovated several times during the centuries. It stands on stone base and had been built from adobe and brick. The slab and the chevrons are of wood. The original double windows are equipped with venetian blinds. During the cooler days in the spring and in the autumn you can make your own fire both in the dining room in the big oven and in the bedroom in the nice old tile-stove. Climbing the hill over the grill-terrace is already quite a tour with nice panorama. Sitting on the small bench halfway upwards you can use your mobile phone as well.
